A former West Point cadet drugged his girlfriend.
He gave her abortion pills against her will.
This caused a miscarriage.
Court records and a new lawsuit say this.
The man is Caleb Suh.
He later studied at Cornell University and Columbia University.
He pleaded guilty in federal court last June.
The assault was in March 2022.
The woman was a cadet in the class below him.
She was 19 and in her second year at West Point.
Prosecutors said this.
The woman wanted to have the baby.
But Suh did not.
He told the judge he pretended to be her.
He opened an online pharmacy account.
He ordered abortion medicines.
He got Xanax from a friend.
He used it as a sedative.
He tricked her into drinking it.
She thought it was a prenatal protein shake.
She fell asleep.
Then he gave her the abortion pills.
He gave them by mouth and vaginally.
Her lawsuit says he left her alone.
She could not move.
She woke up bleeding.
She tried to contact him.
He ignored her.
She called 911.
She went to the hospital.
The woman sued Suh in a New York court on Oct. 28.
She used the name Jane Doe.
She seeks unspecified damages.
Her lawyer is Russell Kornblith.
He said she suffered a life-changing event.
She is still dealing with it.
Suh told the court in June he was deeply sorry.
He was sorry for his actions.
He was sorry for the pain he caused.
His lawyer declined to comment.
It is unclear what discipline Suh faced at West Point.
He transferred to Cornell for the 2023-2024 school year.
Cornell said he answered "no" on his application.
The question asked if he had been found responsible for a disciplinary violation.
This September, he started a master's program.
It is at Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health.
His sentencing was postponed until January.
He could complete the semester at Columbia.
