The solitary juror who advocated for convicting Lindsay Clancy of murder in the killing of her three children asserted that he harbored no doubt as to her guilt, yet maintained that his fellow jurors refused to heed him, as detailed in a statement disseminated by his attorney on Friday—his inaugural public remarks concerning the case.

Eleven of the 12 jurors were prepared to absolve Clancy of criminal responsibility, the majority being of the conviction that this Massachusetts mother was in the throes of a rare affliction known as postpartum psychosis when she strangled her children.

Juror Michael Desronvil, however, aligned himself with the prosecutors, who had contended that Clancy was cognizant of her actions.

The jury’s deadlock impelled the judge to declare a mistrial on Sept. 4, leaving the case unresolved.

The Plymouth County district attorney has yet to say whether he will seek to bring Clancy to trial once more.

That Clancy strangled her children — Cora, Dawson and Callan — in the family's home in 2023 before attempting to take her own life was not contested by either side.
