At least six big hospitals agreed to stop giving gender-affirming hormones and surgery to transgender minors.
They also agreed to pay the federal government.
This is part of deals with the Department of Justice.
The newest deals were announced last week.
Most of the hospitals had already stopped these treatments.
This was because of state bans or earlier pressure from President Donald Trump's administration.
The DOJ deals end investigations into care the hospitals gave before.
They also remove the threat that hospitals would have to give patient records to the government.
The Justice Department says some providers also agreed to help pay medical costs for children to "detransition."
The hospitals did not admit they did anything wrong.
Eliel Cruz is a cofounder of the Gender Liberation Movement.
He said this is a dangerous precedent.
He said the federal government should not politicize one group's care and end it.
Last week, the Justice Department announced deals with NYU Langone Hospitals and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Centers.
Both agreed not to give puberty blockers, hormones or gender-affirming surgery to patients under 19.
NYU agreed to pay $8.5 million.
UPMC agreed to pay $950,000.
These came after similar deals since May.
Those deals were with Cleveland Clinic, Connecticut Children's Hospital, Mount Sinai Health System and Texas Children's Hospital.
The hospitals said the deals will not change how their pediatric mental healthcare programs treat transgender children.
The Trump administration published a review last year.
It urged therapy only for youth, not broader gender-affirming care.
But major medical groups support keeping treatment available.
These groups include the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
The care is still offered at many hospitals and clinics.
Individual physicians also offer it.
At least 27 states have laws that restrict or bar the care for minors.
More than two dozen hospitals and clinics in states without bans have also stopped offering it since last year.
