A new poll from AP-NORC/AAPI Data finds that some groups are less happy with President Donald Trump.
These groups are Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander adults.
The midterm elections are on Nov. 3.
The survey was done Sept. 8-15.
It gives Democrats a big lead on big issues like the economy and health care.
About one-quarter of AAPI adults approve of Trump's overall job.
Only about 2 in 10 approve of his work on the economy.
Most AAPI adults say the economy is a top election issue.
Trump's economic approval in this group has dropped about 10 points over the year.
His favor rating fell from about 4 in 10 in late 2024 to about 3 in 10 now.
Karthick Ramakrishnan of AAPI Data said Trump's good time after the election "has now largely disappeared."
About 9 in 10 AAPI adults say the economy is one of the most important issues.
About 8 in 10 say this about the cost of living.
About 7 in 10 name health care.
Only about half say this about foreign policy, crime, immigration, fair elections or climate change.
In a March 2025 poll, Democrats and Republicans were even on the economy and immigration.
Now Democrats have about a 20-point lead on both.
Still, views of the Democratic Party are split.
About 48% of AAPI adults have a bad impression of it.
About 44% have a good one.
About two-thirds have a bad view of the GOP.
Rebecca Larocco is a Korean American in Iowa.
She is leaning Republican.
But she is not sure about Trump's work on the economy.
The Iran war is making gas prices go up.
Len Takahashi is a conservative in Texas.
He said he is open to candidates who put the economy first.
Many AAPI adults are also worried about false information, legal challenges to results and voter suppression.
