Another court had told Trump to give control back to Governor Gavin Newsom, because Newsom did not agree with sending them. Newsom said Trump used too much power. This case is important because it could change how much power a president has to send soldiers to cities in the U.S. This is the first time since 1965 that a president has done this without the governor's permission. The judges, some chosen by Trump and one by Biden, think presidents have a lot of freedom in this situation. But they did not agree that courts cannot question Trump's decision. The judges will announce their decision soon.
