Kristi Noem, who is in charge of Homeland Security, said she will continue the strict immigration rules from the Trump government, even though people are protesting. A judge said that sending National Guard soldiers to protests was not allowed, but then a higher court stopped that decision. The judge's rule was only for National Guard soldiers, not for Marines. These soldiers and Marines were sent after protests started because of the immigration rules. Governor Gavin Newsom wanted soldiers to stop helping with immigration arrests, and he liked the judge's rule. Anna Kelly, who speaks for the White House, said the president did the right thing and had the power to do it. Protests are still happening in many places. Immigration officers in Los Angeles are showing other places how to deal with these situations. But Noem has said that the government will not stop what it is doing.
