A new report says that if the tax plan is approved, the poorest Americans might lose about $1,600 each year, while the richest families could get about $12,000 more. Families with average incomes might get an extra $500 to $1,000 a year. The plan would cut money from programs that help poor people, like health and food programs. Some politicians do not agree with this report. They say that if the plan does not pass, the economy could be in trouble. But the report also says that money from new taxes could pay for the tax plan.
