Kristi Noem, the head of Homeland Security, said she will continue the strict immigration rules from the Trump government, even though people are protesting. A judge said it was wrong to send National Guard soldiers to protests, but a higher court stopped that decision. The judge's rule was only for the National Guard, not for the Marines who were also sent when the protests about immigration started. Governor Gavin Newsom was happy about the judge's rule because he wanted the soldiers to stop helping with immigration arrests. Anna Kelly, who speaks for the White House, said the president acted within his powers. People are still protesting across the country, and immigration officers in Los Angeles are showing other cities how to do things. But Kristi Noem said the government will not stop its plans.
