Brad Lander, who wants to be the mayor of New York City, was arrested by police at an immigration court. He was holding onto a person the police wanted to arrest. Lander was watching court meetings about immigration in Manhattan. When police tried to arrest a man leaving the court, Lander held onto him and asked to see a paper from the court. The police separated them and arrested Lander. After he was free, Lander said he was trying to protest against Trump's rules about immigration in a peaceful way. This arrest happened because more people are being arrested outside immigration courts. Other politicians from the Democratic party said the arrest was wrong.
