A court has temporarily stopped President Trump from controlling the National Guard soldiers in California. These soldiers were sent to Los Angeles because of protests about immigration. Before this, a judge said that sending the soldiers was against the law, but the White House did not agree. This court decision only affects the National Guard, not other soldiers. The governor of California wanted the court to stop the soldiers from being sent. He thought it would make problems worse. The President used a special law that lets him use the National Guard in some situations.
