Kristi Noem, who is in charge of Homeland Security, said she will continue the strong immigration rules from the Trump government, even though people are protesting. A judge said that sending National Guard soldiers to protests was not legal, but then a higher court stopped this decision. The judge's rule was only for the National Guard soldiers, not for the Marines, who also came after the protests started because of the immigration rules. Governor Gavin Newsom was happy about the judge's decision because he wanted the soldiers to stop helping with immigration arrests. Anna Kelly, who speaks for the White House, said the president acted within his powers. People are still protesting in many places, and immigration officers in Los Angeles are showing other cities how to manage. But Noem said that the government will not stop its plans.
