President Donald Trump's new plan in Congress has changes to taxes and cuts in spending. It also wants to use a lot of money to send many people who are not citizens out of the country.

On Tuesday, Republican leaders used the protests in Los Angeles to say that their long bill should be passed quickly. Democrats did not agree with this. People in Los Angeles are protesting Trump's actions about immigration at places like Home Depot.

Mike Johnson said the new law will help a lot. It will add 10,000 new immigration officers. It will also give $45 billion to build more places for migrants. And it will provide more money to send at least 1 million people out of the country every year.

You just need to see what is happening in Los Angeles to understand that the police need all the help we can give them, said Senator John Thune.

Congress is slowly working on a big plan to spend about $350 billion on national security. This is happening at an important time. Trump wants this plan to be approved by July 4th. But some Republican Senators are trying to pass it without the Democrats. Some Republicans in their own party also do not agree with parts of the plan.

A government office, the CBO, said that a new law could mean 10.9 million more people will not have health insurance. Also, about 3 million people each month might not get food help. The CBO also said this new law could add about $2.4 trillion to the country's debt over the next ten years.

Republican leaders are worried about the bill. Someone in the Senate is checking if the bill follows the special rules for this type of law.

On Monday, Republicans said there might be some problems with their new law. They will need to change it before the Senate can vote on it. Leaders are using a special process because it helps them pass the law more easily, even though they only have a few more votes.

Steve Scalise, a main Republican, said they want to vote in the House of Representatives very soon, maybe this week, to change the plan.

Chuck Schumer, a main Democrat, said that the new vote in the House is a good chance for Republicans who don't like the plan. They can use their power to change it a lot.

Schumer said that they don't like some parts of the law, and now they can change it.

On Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance talked to Senator Ron Johnson. Senator Johnson wants the new law to spend less money. He wants to stop the country's debt from getting bigger. Other Republican senators are also worried about the health care cuts in the law.

Republicans agree on border security, sending people out of the country, and money for the army. Democrats do not agree and tried hard to remove these parts from the plan.

The plan includes about $150 billion for border security. This money will help find people and send them back to their countries. It will also pay for 10,000 new officers for ICE. Johnson said they will get a $10,000 bonus when they start. Also, it will pay for 3,000 new Border Patrol agents and other staff who work outside.

The plan also has money to keep 100,000 migrants each day. It also pays for flights to send 1 million people back to their countries every year. The plan includes $46 billion to build the wall that Trump promised between the U.S. and Mexico.

The bill also gives $150 billion to the army. This includes $5 billion for soldiers who help with border security. Also, it has almost $25 billion for Trump's border wall. And it gives another $21 billion to the Coast Guard.

Democrats do not agree with sending people away. They believe Trump is making trouble so he can control groups of migrants.

Nanette Barragan, a politician, asked Americans to pay attention. She said the government is using strong words like 'rebellion' and 'attack'.

She said the leaders are planning to do even more strict things later.

She expressed her concern, stating that it was both dangerous and incorrect.
