Shohei Ohtani, a well-known Japanese baseball player, is now the third person in Dodgers history to hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games of the season. This means he joins Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. It's also the 64th time any player in the major leagues has done this in the same amount of time, and the first since Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani, who has won the MVP award three times and hits the most home runs in the major leagues, recently hit a two-run home run in a game against the Cleveland Guardians. This is the fourth time this season he has hit a home run to the opposite side of the field. What's interesting is that even when Ohtani doesn't hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has also hit home runs in three games in a row twice this season.
