Shohei Ohtani, a famous baseball player from Japan, has hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games this season. He is only the third player in the Dodgers team to do this, after Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. He is also the 64th player in all major league teams to do this. The last player was Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani has won the MVP award three times. He hit a home run against the Cleveland Guardians that scored two runs. This is the fourth time this season he has hit a home run to the other side of the field. Sometimes, even if Ohtani does not hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has hit home runs in three games in a row two times this season. Ohtani has been chosen as an All-Star four times. He has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times since he joined the Dodgers.
