Freddie Freeman hit the ball two times and got on base. He also hit the ball far when there were players on all the bases, and they all scored. The Los Angeles Dodgers won their game against the Miami Marlins 10-1 on Wednesday.
Freeman helped his team by getting four runs. He has now hit the ball well in 12 games in a row. His team, the Dodgers, are the best in the league. They won two out of three games in Miami. They have now won four series in a row. In the games in Miami, Freeman hit the ball 8 times out of 13 tries. He helped get six runs and hit two home runs.
On Wednesday, Shohei Ohtani hit a triple and walked three times. One time, the pitcher walked him on purpose. In the seventh inning, his team scored six runs.
James Outman hit a home run with three players on the bases in the last part of the game. This helped the Dodgers get a bigger lead.
Landon Knack won his game with a score of 2-0. He didn't allow the other team to score any runs and struck out five players. He was called up from a team called Oklahoma City. Matt Sauer was also called up from that team. He played after Knack and pitched the last four innings of the game. It was the first time he saved the game in his career.
The first player for Miami, Valente Bellozo, played for 5 and a half innings. The other team did not score any points while he was playing. He only let the other team hit the ball one time, and he stopped seven batters from hitting the ball well. Another player, Cade Gibson, started playing instead of Bellozo in the sixth inning. This happened before Bellozo had to play against Ohtani again. But Ohtani hit the ball very well against Gibson and got to third base.
Young player Augustin Ramirez hit the ball well two times for the Marlins (14 wins and 22 losses). They have now lost 9 of their last 11 games.
Jesús Sánchez hit the ball and got to first base in the sixth inning. He helped Miami score their only point in the ninth inning by hitting the ball so someone could run home.
The Dodgers scored many points in the seventh part of the game. A new pitcher, Bachar, came in. He let a player walk, then hit the ball, and then hit the ball again to score a point. With the first base empty, Bachar let Ohtani walk on purpose. Then, he let Mookie Betts walk when all the bases were full. Next, Freeman hit the ball far to get three points. After that, another hit scored one more point.
The Dodgers only hit the ball one time in the first five parts of the game against Bellozo. But after that, they hit the ball 11 times off four other Miami pitchers.
The Dodgers start a four-game series in Arizona on Thursday. Yoshinobu Yamamoto will pitch for them. The Marlins do not play on Thursday. Max Meyer will pitch for the Marlins on Friday. They will play the Chicago White Sox.
