Many states are suing 23andMe, a company that checks your DNA. They want to stop the company from selling people's DNA information without their permission. This is happening because another company wants to buy 23andMe, which is having money problems. The states say that 23andMe should not sell DNA data, health details, and medical records unless people agree. 23andMe helps people learn about their family history using spit tests. But the company has not made enough money, so it might be sold. The company that wants to buy 23andMe says they will keep people's information private. Someone will also check if the sale is good for customers.
