Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke at the UN General Assembly.

He spoke on Thursday.

He said genocide accusations in Gaza are "the biggest lie of the century."

He said Israel has the right to fight Iran.

Many delegates walked out before he spoke.

Netanyahu said attacking Iran was an easy choice.

He called the delegates who left "moral cowards."

He said Israel also defends their countries.

When he took the podium, there were cheers and boos.

Many people walked out.

The General Assembly president called for order many times.

The Palestinian Mission to the UN asked member nations for help.

It asked them to send many staff.

It asked them to walk out together when Netanyahu spoke.

It said this shows no one wants to be complicit.

It said Israel did genocide, war crimes and illegal occupation.

Israel rejects these claims.

Netanyahu held up a pager.

He remembered Sept. 17, 2024.

Israel blew up thousands of pagers in Lebanon.

Hezbollah used those pagers.

That attack killed 12 people.

It wounded more than 3,000 people.

He also talked about the Oct. 7, 2023, Hamas attack.

That attack killed about 1,200 people.

He compared it to 40,000 Americans killed in less than 24 hours.

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas also spoke to the assembly on Thursday.

His remarks were prerecorded from Ramallah.

The United States denied him a visa.

It also denied visas to other top Palestinian officials.

This happened for the second year in a row.

Abbas said Palestinians will not leave their homeland.

He said they will not accept displacement.

He urged the world to take real action against Israel.

The war in Gaza began on Oct. 7, 2023.

Hamas-led militants attacked Israel.

They killed around 1,200 people.

They kidnapped 251 people.

At least 73,922 Palestinians have been killed in Israel's offensive.

The Gaza Health Ministry said this.

A ceasefire last October stopped the heaviest fighting.

But further steps have stalled.
