U.N. experts say they found "reasonable grounds."
They believe the United States committed war crimes in Iran.
The crimes happened in two strikes.
One strike hit a school in Minab.
Minab is a city in the south.
The experts also accuse Iran's government.
They say it committed crimes against humanity.
These crimes were against its own people.
The report came out on Thursday.
The report is not binding.
It adds to evidence about crimes in the war in Iran.
Later, it could be used in international courts.
People could use it to seek justice.
The fact-finding mission on Iran has a chair.
Her name is Sara Hossain.
She is a jurist from Bangladesh.
The Human Rights Council created the mission in 2022.
The council is the U.N.'s top human rights body.
It is in Geneva.
The experts said their findings center on two airstrikes.
These strikes killed at least 178 civilians.
The dead include women and children.
They said one U.S. missile hit a school.
The school is Shajareh Tayyebeh in Minab.
The strike was on Feb. 28.
Iranian state media said 168 people died there.
Most of them were children.
The experts concluded the school was the target.
It was not an errant strike.
It was not collateral damage.
The White House rejected the findings.
Spokeswoman Anna Kelly spoke.
She said the human rights body has "accomplished nothing for human rights."
She said only the Iranian regime committed war crimes.
The experts also said Iranian security forces carried out violent repression.
They said many violations amount to crimes against humanity.
They said the United States and Iran should stop all violations.
They should give full reparations to victims.
