This group helps connect people who have extra medicine with those who need it. Milei's strict budget cuts have seriously affected Argentina's public health system. The healthcare budget was cut by almost half, thousands of Health Ministry employees lost their jobs, and programs for early cancer detection and vaccinations were stopped. This situation has caused a big increase in the prices of prescription medicines and private health plans, going up by 250% and 118% respectively. Also, medical coverage for retired people has been greatly reduced. Because not everyone has healthcare and costs are increasing, Argentina's healthcare system is becoming more like the U.S. system. Milei's staff cuts have made it hard to plan vaccinations and collect information, which happened at the same time as the country's first measles outbreak in many years. These cuts have also led to more sexually transmitted infections, including a 20% rise in HIV cases and a 50% rise in syphilis cases. Reports say that over 60 cancer patients have died because the DADSE medicine program was stopped, and more than 1,500 patients are still waiting for their medicines.
