On Friday night, Iran launched ballistic missiles at Israel, and some are believed to have hit Tel Aviv. However, Israel has mostly managed its own defense over the past year with its advanced system, which can detect incoming fire and activate when a projectile is heading towards populated or sensitive areas. Israel's air defense has several layers: the Arrow, designed for long-range missiles; David's Sling, for medium-range missiles; and the Iron Dome, for short-range rockets. Israel is also developing the Iron Beam to intercept threats using laser technology.
