Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has many followers.
They worry about big companies and vaccines.
They worry about drugs, processed foods and pesticides.
Last week, he backed a different industry.
It is artificial intelligence.
He leads the "Make America Healthy Again" movement.
He spoke at a MAHA summit.
AI and Silicon Valley leaders were there.
Kennedy said AI would free Americans.
It would free them from "medical tyranny."
People could check their own medical advice.
Some big MAHA voices criticized him.
They said the movement's leaders are getting close to big companies.
They once questioned these companies.
Medical experts also spoke.
They said Kennedy's idea is flawed.
Dr. Zeke Emanuel is a cancer doctor.
He works at the University of Pennsylvania.
He also studies right and wrong in medicine.
He said Kennedy "obviously doesn't understand how AI works."
He said AI gathers facts from medical papers.
It gathers facts from case studies too.
So users really get medical expertise.
HHS spokesperson Emily Hilliard spoke.
She said Emanuel described "one narrow use" of AI.
She said Kennedy wants to give Americans more control.
They should control their health data.
She said AI will help doctors work faster.
Doctors can then spend more time with patients.
OpenAI and Anthropic sponsored the summit.
More than a dozen other companies also sponsored it.
These companies have business with the U.S. government.
Sponsors paid up to $300,000.
Many got speaking slots.
Dr. Robert Malone is a vaccine researcher.
He recently served on a federal vaccine panel.
He served under Kennedy.
He called it "classic pay-to-play."
He and others spoke.
They said the summit showed big companies replacing grassroots activists.
These activists built the movement.
Tony Lyons runs the MAHA Center.
He also runs related groups.
He said the goal was to build the biggest movement possible.
Kennedy's alliance with Silicon Valley fits broader Trump efforts.
President Donald Trump has resisted oversight of AI companies.
Dr. Mehmet Oz and other officials also spoke.
They promoted AI as a fix for U.S. health problems.
