Now, TikTok shows you reviews for some places in the comments of videos. This new feature helps you find out more about a place without searching again or using Google.

If you use TikTok and have this new feature, you will see a new 'Reviews' button on the right when you look at the video's comments.

For example, if you see a video of Central Park in New York City and the person who made it added the location, you can see what other people think. You can see how many stars they gave it, what they wrote, and any pictures they shared.

You can also click on a reviewer's name to see their TikTok page from here.

Some people might like the new feature, but others might think it makes the screen too busy when they look at things.

This is the newest way TikTok wants to be a good search tool, like Google.

In 2022, someone from Google said that TikTok was taking users from Google Search and Maps, especially young people. Today, TikTok is competing with Google in many ways.

TikTok is popular with young people for finding places. Last year, it also added a way to search using pictures. You can take or upload a photo to find similar things to buy on TikTok Shop.

In September 2024, TikTok started letting companies show their ads when people search for things on the app.

We don't know if TikTok will let more people use the reviews part. They didn't want to talk about it before this was written. But when we tried it, we only saw the reviews part on some videos that had a place tagged.
