Meta is investing $14.3 billion in an AI company called Scale. Scale's CEO, Alexandr Wang, will join Meta's special team that works on AI. This is part of Meta's plan to improve its AI, because it is competing with companies like Google and OpenAI. Scale will stay independent, but Meta will own 49% of it. Wang will move to Meta with a small team, but he will still be on Scale's board. Jason Droege will become the temporary CEO of Scale. This investment means Scale is worth more than $29 billion. It is not clear what this deal will mean for Scale's other customers, such as General Motors and Toyota.
