Opal Suchata Chuangsri from Thailand has won the Miss World competition in Hyderabad, India. She competed against 108 other participants, and Hasset Dereje Admassu from Ethiopia finished in second place. Krystyna Pyszková, who won last year, gave Chuangsri her crown. Stephanie del Valle, Miss World 2016, and Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar hosted the 72nd Miss World event. India also hosted the competition last year, and India's contestant, Nandini Gupta, reached the top 20. Six Indian women have won the title before, with Manushi Chillar being the most recent winner in 2017.
