After Israel attacked Iran, there was more fighting. This made oil prices go up and stock prices go down on Friday. People were worried that there might not be enough oil for the world, which could harm the economy. Big stock markets like the S&P 500, Dow Jones, and Nasdaq all fell a lot. The price of U.S. oil went up by 7.3% to $72.98 for one barrel. Experts say that oil prices often go down again when the situation becomes clear that it is not getting worse. But people who work in finance are still watching closely. Companies that use a lot of fuel, like the cruise company Carnival and United Airlines, lost money. However, U.S. oil companies, defense companies, and gold gained value. Even with these changes, inflation is still quite stable. But some people are worried that prices could go up faster because of the taxes President Trump put on some goods.
