JetZero, a company from California, plans to build a factory in North Carolina. This factory will make their new passenger plane. This could create more than 14,500 jobs in the area over the next ten years. The company will spend $4.7 billion on the factory at Greensboro's airport to make their Z4 plane. This plane has a special wing design that uses up to 50% less fuel than regular planes. United Airlines and Alaska Airlines have already put money into this project and have agreed to buy the planes. The project also includes a place to research plane parts. It could get over $2.35 billion from the state and local government by the 2060s. JetZero hopes to have its planes flying by the early 2030s. They plan to make 20 planes every month. First, they will make a plane for about 250 people that can fly 5,000 nautical miles.
