A U.S. official said Tuesday that Chevron will soon say it will do more work in Venezuela.
The official told reporters about the news.
They said Chevron leaders and Energy Secretary Chris Wright will visit Venezuela on Wednesday.
They will show the new plan during the visit.
The official did not give their name.
This is a rule from the White House.
Chevron is the second-biggest U.S. oil company.
It is the only one with a big presence in Venezuela.
The news comes after the White House said on Monday it is working with North American Blue Energy Partners.
