Two former organizers of Hong Kong's Tiananmen vigils were found guilty on Friday.
Their names are Lee Cheuk-yan and Chow Hang-tung.
They incited subversion.
This is against China's national security law.
They face up to 10 years in prison.
Their group, the Hong Kong Alliance, was also found guilty.
The judges said the alliance's call to "end one-party dictatorship" wanted to end the Communist Party's leadership.
The judges said the defendants kept making this call after the law began.
The defendants knew it was not lawful.
The judges said the trial was not about political views.
Lee and Chow smiled at supporters as they left court.
This verdict is a new blow to Hong Kong's pro-democracy movement.
The security law began in 2020.
The movement is now mostly gone.
The annual vigil was once the only big public event for the 1989 crackdown in China.
The government banned it during the pandemic.
Observers said this case shows that peaceful ways do not protect people.
This is true if the goal is seen as against the constitution.
The defendants will ask for smaller sentences next week.
Their lawyers may appeal.
The U.S., U.K., and EU said the verdict was wrong.
Hong Kong police said the case shows that incitement and subversion are not allowed.
