Still, Israel has mostly handled its own defense over the last year with its advanced system. This system can find incoming rockets and fire back if they are heading towards cities or important areas. Israel's air defense has several layers: the Arrow system stops long-range missiles, David's Sling stops medium-range missiles, and the Iron Dome stops short-range rockets. Israel is also developing the Iron Beam, which will use laser technology to stop threats.
