Israel carried out a major attack on Iran's capital, Tehran. The attack targeted Iran's nuclear program and killed at least two important military leaders, Generals Hossein Salami and Mohammad Bagheri. This was the biggest attack Iran has experienced since its war with Iraq in the 1980s. Israeli officials said they launched the attack because Iran's nuclear program was developing quickly.
