Mako Komuro, who used to be a Japanese princess and is Emperor Naruhito's niece, has had her first baby. The palace said the baby was born but did not share the date or if it was a boy or a girl. This is because Mako is not a royal anymore. Mako married Kei Komuro, a normal person, in 2021. She gave up her royal title because of Japan's Imperial House Law. The couple lives in New York, and Kei works there as a lawyer. Even though Mako was a royal before, the palace shared the news after newspapers talked about it. Mako's parents and siblings were very happy and wished the family good luck. Mako and her husband met at Tokyo's International Christian University. Their wedding was put off for four years because Kei Komuro's mother had money problems. Mako also did not take the money she could have gotten for leaving the royal family.
