One juror wanted to convict Lindsay Clancy of murder.
His name is Michael Desronvil.
He said he was sure she was guilty.
He said the other jurors would not listen to him.
His lawyer shared this statement on Friday.
It was his first public comment on the case.
Eleven of the 12 jurors wanted to clear Clancy.
They did not want to blame her.
Most felt she was very sick.
She had postpartum psychosis.
That is a serious mental illness after birth.
They said she strangled her children.
Desronvil agreed with the prosecutors.
The prosecutors said Clancy knew what she was doing.
Desronvil said he had no doubts.
The jury foreperson spoke to the media.
That person said Desronvil had reasonable doubt.
But he wanted to convict anyway.
Desronvil said that was not true.
The jury was stuck.
So the judge declared a mistrial on Sept. 4.
The Plymouth County district attorney has not said he will try Clancy again.
No one disputed that Clancy strangled her children.
Their names were Cora, Dawson and Callan.
This happened in the family's home in 2023.
Then she tried to end her own life.
Her lawyer said she was a loving mother.
She had deep delusions and other mental health problems.
She was getting treatment for them.
After the trial, people praised Desronvil.
Other people criticized him.
People looked at his personal life.
They looked at his past money and legal problems.
He had a restraining order against him.
This was during jury selection.
He also faced eviction.
He owed more than $12,000 in unpaid rent.
He was accused of domestic violence in 2021.
That charge was later dismissed.
His lawyer said he is in a safe, secret place.
It is in rural northern New England.
A fundraiser raised over $289,000.
The money is for his security, lawyers and lost work.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said Florida would give him asylum.
This would happen if Desronvil is being harassed.
