She says people feel the state helps only a few powerful people.

McKee is 75 years old.

People are angry about a bridge in Providence.

It is the Washington Bridge.

He closed one side in 2023.

Officials found a big problem.

The repair takes more time and money than he said.

McKee says he kept people safe.

He says the bridge will be done in 2028.

He talks about a bridge in Baltimore.

Its name is Francis Scott Key Bridge.

That one will be done in 2030.

She says McKee’s words about her are also words about CVS.

CVS gives many jobs in Rhode Island.

McKee has support from labor groups.

But the state Democratic Party and AFL-CIO did not pick anyone.

Foulkes has support from Democrats in Cumberland.

That is McKee’s hometown.

She said, “It’s a great moment to be an outsider.”
