Der New Yorker Finanzbeauftragte und demokratische Bürgermeisterkandidat Brad Lander wurde von Bundesbeamten in einem Migrationsgericht festgenommen. Er hatte sich mit einer Person solidarisiert, die von den Behörden festgehalten werden sollte. Lander war im Bundesgebäude in Manhattan, um Gerichtsanhörungen zu verfolgen.
