Kristi Noem, who is the head of Homeland Security, said she will continue the strict immigration rules from the Trump government, even though people are protesting. A judge said that sending National Guard soldiers to protests was not allowed, but then a higher court stopped this decision. The judge's order was only for the National Guard, not the Marines who were also sent when protests began. Governor Gavin Newsom was happy about the judge's order because he wanted the soldiers to stop helping with immigration arrests. Anna Kelly, who speaks for the White House, said the president acted correctly. People are still protesting across the country, and immigration officers in Los Angeles are showing other places how to handle these situations. But Noem said that the government will not stop what they are doing.
