Meta is putting $14.3 billion into an AI company called Scale. Scale's CEO, Alexandr Wang, will also join Meta's special AI team. This is part of Meta's plan to make its AI better, so it can compete with companies like Google. Scale will still be its own company, but Meta will own almost half of it (49%). Wang will go to Meta with a small team, but he will still be on Scale's board. A new temporary CEO, Jason Droege, will take his place at Scale. This investment means Scale is now worth more than $29 billion. We don't know what this deal means for Scale's other customers, like General Motors.
