TikTok is testing a new thing.

Now you can read reviews for some places in the comments of videos.

This helps you learn about a place you see on TikTok.

You don't need to search on Google.

If you use TikTok and have this new thing, you can see a 'Reviews' button on the right.

For example, you see a video of Central Park in New York. The video shows the place. You can see how many stars other people give it. You can read what they write. You can see their pictures, if they have any.

You can see the person's TikTok page if you click on their name.

Some people like the new thing. Other people think it makes the screen too busy when they watch videos.

TikTok wants people to search for things there, like on Google.

In 2022, Google said young people used TikTok more than Google Search and Maps.

Last year, TikTok added a new way to search.

In September 2024, TikTok started showing ads when people search on the app.

We don't know if TikTok will show reviews for more videos. TikTok did not say. In our tests, only some videos with a place tag showed the reviews.
