Some people think TikTok makes it hard to focus. But people all over the world are watching a live show from a TV channel in Sweden. This show is not very exciting, and they probably don't know the channel. It's called the Great Moose Migration.

Every spring for many years, moose walk across the Ångerman River to a warmer place for the summer. Since 2019, people all over the world can watch this for three weeks because a Swedish TV company shows it online with over 30 cameras.

The live stream usually shows peaceful scenes of nature, like forests and rivers. If you're fortunate, you might even spot a moose passing by, completely unaware of its fame around the world. It's simply a moose, walking along without a worry.

Usually, the stream is quiet. Sometimes, you hear the wind and birds. It is nice, even if you forget you left the stream on and are surprised by the sound of birds from far away.

A student from Sweden told the AP: "I feel relaxed, but I'm also thinking, 'Oh, a moose! What if a moose is there? I can't go to the toilet!'

The camera continues to show the stream throughout the night. Thanks to special night vision cameras, we can see the moose even when it's completely dark. However, the clear black and white image makes it look more like a scary movie than a nature documentary. But even a slightly spooky moose sighting is still a worthwhile experience.

Last year, 9 million people watched SVT's moose stream. Discovery Channel's Shark Week had over 22 million viewers in 2023. SVT shows nature live with only 15 people working on it, so 9 million viewers is quite good compared to Shark Week.

These live streams are interesting because they are very different from what we usually see online. Your TikTok feed has short videos that are perfect for you, so you keep watching. YouTubers make their videos carefully so you watch for a long time.

However, the moose have no need for anything from us. They are completely unaware of our presence here, observing them.
