Other people online were happy about the hack. One person said the hacker was in the system for more than a year.

TechCrunch asked people about the emails. One person said the information is true.

"I think it is true," the janitor said.

A worker said: "I am surprised. 4chan had problems before, but this is bigger. I am not happy. Many people are not happy. But we work here for a long time. Sharing private info is old on 4chan. We knew this could happen."

The cleaner said, "I was worried about the secret information. It is clear why. Maybe it is worse that a hacker took control of 4chan than just pictures. This is so the website can keep working."
