On Thursday night, the Edmonton Oilers made an incredible comeback in the Stanley Cup Final. They were losing by three goals but managed to beat the Florida Panthers 5-4 in overtime, making the series tied. It was a very exciting game with many changes in emotion. Leon Draisaitl of the Oilers scored his fourth overtime goal in the playoffs, setting a new NHL record. Even though they were behind 3-0 at first, the Oilers tied the game by the end of the second period. The Oilers then took the lead in the third period, but the Panthers scored right at the end, sending the game into overtime. The Oilers were the first visiting team since 1919 to win a final game after being three goals behind. The series is now tied 2-2 and will continue in Edmonton for Game 5 on Saturday.
