American tennis player Coco Gauff won her second major title at the French Open, a trophy she had wanted for a long time. Gauff defeated top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka after being inspired by Olympic champion Gabby Thomas, who writes positive notes to herself. Gauff adopted this idea, writing down many times that she would be the French Open champion before the final match. Even though she was not expected to win, Gauff stayed calm and focused throughout the match, while Sabalenka had difficulty controlling her emotions. Gauff has found it helpful to express her emotions before games, which allows her to remain calm during matches. After her victory, Gauff plans to play in the grass-court season and might participate in a tournament in Berlin before going to Wimbledon.
