Shohei Ohtani, a well-known Japanese baseball player, is now the third person in the Dodgers' history to hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games of a season. This achievement puts him in the same group as Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. It's also only the 64th time a player in Major League Baseball has done this, and the first time since Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani, who has won the MVP award three times and hits the most home runs in the major leagues, recently hit a two-run home run in a game against the Cleveland Guardians. This is the fourth time this season he has hit a home run to the opposite side of the field. What's interesting is that even when Ohtani doesn't hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has also hit home runs in three games in a row twice this season. Ohtani, who has been chosen as an All-Star four times, has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times since he joined the Dodgers.
