Shohei Ohtani, the famous Japanese baseball player, has made history for the Dodgers. He is now only the third player to hit 20 home runs in the first 55 games of the season, joining Gil Hodges and Cody Bellinger. This achievement has only happened 64 times in major league history, and the last time was with Pete Alonso in 2023. Ohtani, who has been named MVP three times and leads the major leagues in home runs, hit a two-run home run against the Cleveland Guardians. This was his fourth home run to the opposite side of the field this season. Interestingly, even when Ohtani doesn't hit the ball perfectly, it can still be a home run. He has also hit home runs in three games in a row twice this season. Ohtani, who has been an All-Star four times, has hit at least 12 home runs in a month three times since he joined the Dodgers.
