A judge told the lawyer for Sean "Diddy" Combs to be more careful about what he says in public. The judge thought it was very bad that the lawyer called the people who work for the government "six white women" on a show.

A written record from a meeting on Tuesday showed what Judge Arun Subramanian and lawyer Mark Geragos said.

Also, the judge said on Wednesday that he will finish choosing the jury on Friday. The trial will start on Monday.

The court case started after the 55-year-old music promoter said he was not guilty of serious charges. He was arrested in September and has been in prison since then.

On Tuesday, the lawyers told the judge that Geragos must follow the rules about what lawyers can say while the trial is happening.

Later, the judge asked in a meeting if Geragos was helping Combs.

Geragos said he is the lawyer for the singer's mother. He also said he has been Combs' lawyer and talks to him often. The lawyer's daughter, Teny Geragos, is an important person on Combs' team of lawyers.

The judge stopped Geragos when he started to criticize the lawyers. The judge said, "Let's talk honestly."

The judge said that Geragos talked about the lawyers on his show. He called them 'a six-pack of white women'.

Subramanian then asked Geragos if he knew that was something he should not say because he was a lawyer.

Geragos said: "I think when a Black man is in court and feels like he is being chosen because he is Black, that is something people notice."

The judge said again: "I think this is not good. I think saying the lawyers for the state in this case are 'six white women' is very bad."

Subramanian told Geragos that he would watch and listen to him. Geragos was often there when they chose the jury.

The judge said, "Now you have one more person listening to your podcast."

If you subscribe, I think that is a good idea, Geragos answered quickly.

Before the court case, Combs' lawyers said that untrue and angry words from government workers, and because Combs is famous, caused many problems. They said this made many people make claims against him, even people they didn't know. They said these claims were not true or were very strange.

They said many lawsuits against Mr. Combs and the stories about them have caused a lot of media attention. They think if this continues, Mr. Combs might not get a fair trial.

For three days, the judge has been talking to people who might be on the jury. He talks to each person to find people who will be fair. Combs has watched from his seat while they answered questions.

On Friday, the lawyers for each side can remove some people from the group of possible jurors. They don't usually have to say why. This usually takes about an hour and gives them the final group of 12 jurors, plus some extra people.

People say Combs used his companies like a bad group. They say he used workers and friends to help him do crimes like taking people, starting fires, giving money to get things, and selling people for sex.

Prosecutors say Combs used his fame and money to make young women have sex.

Combs' lawyers say the prosecutors want to control sex between adults who agree.
