Elon Musk spoke on Monday.
He said he will give one share of SpaceX to every kid in America.
He will do this next year.
He said this after a social media post.
The post came from an AI company called Anthropic.
Anthropic said on Sunday it will give 5% of its shares.
The shares will go to a new fund.
The fund helps the public.
Musk replied to the post.
He said he recommends giving shares right to the public.
SpaceX shares closed at $146.03 on Friday.
About 73 million children under 18 live in the United States.
So Musk's promise is worth about $10.66 billion.
Musk did not say more about how he will do this.
He also said in his post it is the first of many.
Anthropic said its shares will go to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund.
This is a new group inside the company.
The fund can grow as the shares go up in value.
These announcements come at a time when Americans feel more worried about AI.
A new poll came from Reporters-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.
It found that 64% of Americans think AI is growing too fast.
Another 27% said its growth is about right.
Only 8% said it is too slow.
Last month, some leaders in the industry spoke.
They were Dario Amodei of Anthropic, Sam Altman of OpenAI, Musk of SpaceXAI and others.
They said AI growth needs to slow down.
This agreement came after a researcher left Anthropic.
The researcher gave a warning.
The warning was about the dangers this technology brings to people.
Problems remain.
These include competition at home and around the world, money goals and pushback from President Donald Trump.
Musk is also the biggest known donor in this year's midterm elections.
He has given more than $276 million since July.
He wants to save Republican majorities in Congress.
