Asian markets started lower on Friday after Israel attacked near Iran's capital. This made people more worried about Iran's nuclear program, which caused oil prices, like U.S. and Brent crude, to go up a lot. Stock markets in Tokyo, Seoul, Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Australia all went down. However, Xu Tiachen from The Economist Intelligence believes Asian markets will probably get better quickly. This is because they are not very involved in the conflict and have good connections with countries like Saudi Arabia and the UAE, which are not affected. On Thursday, U.S. stock markets went up because of good news about inflation. Stocks also improved because government bond yields went down after the inflation news, suggesting that the Federal Reserve might lower interest rates later this year. Despite these good changes, people are still worried about how Trump's changing tariffs could affect inflation and if there might be a recession.
