JetZero, a new company, wants to build a factory in North Carolina to make its new passenger plane. This could create more than 14,500 jobs in the area over the next 10 years. The company will spend $4.7 billion on the factory near Greensboro airport to build the Z4 plane. This plane has a special wing design that uses much less fuel than regular planes. United Airlines and Alaska Airlines have already given money for this project and plan to buy some planes. The project also includes a place to study new materials. It might get over $2.35 billion from the state and local government by the 2060s. JetZero hopes its planes will be flying by the early 2030s. They plan to make 20 planes every month. First, they will make a plane for about 250 people that can fly 5,000 nautical miles.
