JetZero Inc., a company from California, has announced plans to build a factory in North Carolina for its new passenger jet. This project is expected to create more than 14,500 jobs in the area over the next ten years. The company plans to invest $4.7 billion to build a modern factory at Greensboro's airport, where they will produce their Z4 aircraft. This plane has a special blended-wing design that uses 50% less fuel than regular airplanes. United Airlines and Alaska Airlines have already invested in the project and agreed to buy some planes. The project also includes a research center for new materials and could receive over $2.35 billion in financial support from the state and local governments by the 2060s. JetZero aims to have its planes flying by the early 2030s, producing 20 aircraft each month. The company will first focus on a commercial jet with about 250 seats and a range of 5,000 nautical miles.
