The U.S. military says it is hitting targets in Iran.

This comes after one month with no fighting between the two countries.

U.S. Central Command said the strikes come after recent attacks by Iran’s Revolutionary Guard.

Those attacks were against business ships in the Strait of Hormuz.

It also said there were attacks against American soldiers in the area.

On Sunday, the U.S. hit rocket launchers on Larak Island.

Then Iran fired missiles at U.S. places in Jordan.

The U.S. stopped those missiles.

The United Arab Emirates said it stopped an Iranian drone over its waters.

President Donald Trump said on Monday that more strikes might be needed.

He said U.S. and Israeli bombing has made Iran "a failed nation."

He said much of Iran's leadership is dead.

He said its economy is weak.

He said its military is destroyed.

Still, Trump said more action could come.

"We'll see what happens," he told reporters.

The U.S. and Iran have fought on and off for over six months.

The quiet time lasted one month.

Iranian state TV reported explosions in the port city of Bandar Abbas.

The U.S. military says its attacks are small and exact.

It says they want to stop Iran from putting new mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
