On Friday night, Iran fired many ballistic missiles at Israel. Some reports suggest a few missiles hit Tel Aviv, and Israel's military says they stopped most of them. This attack is a big test for Israel's air defense system, which has been stopping rockets from different countries since the war started on October 7, 2023. The United States has helped shoot down Iranian missiles using ground-based systems. Still, Israel has mostly handled its own defense over the past year with its advanced system. This system can find incoming rockets and fire back when they are heading for cities or important areas. Israel's air defense has several parts: the Arrow system for long-range missiles, David's Sling for medium-range missiles, and the Iron Dome for short-range rockets. Israel is also developing the Iron Beam, which will use laser technology to stop threats.
